UX Designer

Hybrid Schedule in Woodbury (2 days in office/ 3 remote)


We are looking for an experienced and ambitious UX Designer to join our growing Product team. The ideal candidate will be excited about the opportunity to build a website's user experience strategy from the ground up, focusing on customer loyalty as well as brand management. The UX designer will create satisfying and compelling experiences for users of our products, often drawing on results from user research and workflow analysis. Areas of focus may include content, controls, visual design and development, information architecture, user research, branding and customer/technical support.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Apply UX design principles to address complex problems and deliver simple user-friendly experiences
  • Conduct competitive analyses of other websites that operate in the same space
  • Prepare customer analyses based on our target demographic and initial transactions
  • Participate in creating a content development strategy
  • Coordinate with UI design team on issues like navigation, page routing, product page design and more
  • Track usability goals and prepare reports for senior management
  • Develop mockups for our development and design team
  • Conduct usability tests on each independent type of page on the website and create a report showcasing your findings
  • Consulting with clients to understand their goals and explaining research results
  • Conducting usability testing
  • Creating wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps and screen flows
  • Creating high fidelity product prototypes
  • Utilize A/B testing to present and validate design solutions
  • Developing personas and usage scenarios
  • Analyzing user feedback and activity, and iterating to enhance the user experience
  • Assisting with content development
  • Conducting competitor and customer analysis


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Design, Development or Engineering required
  • Superior knowledge of all Adobe products, including InDesign and Illustrator
  • Excellent PC skills required
  • Understanding of the public transit and transit technology marketplace a plus.
  • Experience preparing detailed competitive and consumer analyses
