Role Summary:
A Scrum Master is responsible for planning, leading, organizing and motivating product teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering agile projects that provide exceptional business value to users. The individual will be responsible for managing several concurrent project or product development initiatives in a fast-paced environment. In this position, collaboration with globally dispersed Marketing partners and cross-functional team members is a key skill.

Role Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include:
  • Lead an Agile team to deliver solutions through all required sprints
  • Removes impediments / blockers, shield the team from external interferences, and enable collaboration across all roles
  • Manage vendor and cross-functional team dependencies for product development and integrations to meet initiative objectives
  • Understand, advocate, and communicate business unit objectives, goals, vision and strategy to team to enable application/technology solutions that contribute towards achieving value
  • Ability to recognize and mitigate conflict and problems with project, product and team resources and apply escalation appropriately
  • Environment/Project coordination (balancing multiple project delivery dates with environment constraints)
  • Manage development initiatives with major vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organization in a socially and compliant manner.
  • Support Resource Manager in recruiting which includes interviewing, hiring and onboarding
  • Addresses team dynamics
  • Works with the Product Owner in effective backlog grooming and management
  • Facilitates all scrum ceremonies as requested or needed
  • Drives Sprint Planning along with the Tech Lead and Product Owner
  • Drives resource planning
  • Drives formal validation with Product Owner
  • Ensures GSM documentation completeness during validation
  • Responsible for driving sprint velocity
  • Responsible for communication and escalation of issues faced by scrum-team
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree plus 5+ Years' Experience as a Scrum Master, Project Manager or similar role delivering IT solutions
  • 5+ years of experience working on large global projects
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies & sprint/scrum processes
  • Strong and effective written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate with team members.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Scrum certification preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Experience with diverse and virtual teams
  • Experience working in a regulated environment
  • Understand backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition
  • Experience with Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence) or similar tools
  • Experience coaching, and coordinating efforts with, multiple teams, Agile coaches, and Scrum Masters within a matrixed organization
