Career Opportunity :
We are actively seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team in Mooresville, NC !
As the Cost Accountant, you will:
Create, update, and maintain accurate costing records with particular attention to cost of sales (material, labor, and overhead) and inventory.
Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
Identify and implement appropriate tools to allow for successful cost tracking and reporting in a manufacturing environment.
Conducts and supports various ad-hoc analysis such as Cost Studies, Variance Analysis, Product Margin and Mix Analysis, and other projects as required.
Interfaces with operations to cycle count, audit, and track physical inventory.
Assists in month end close process providing data related to inventory, cost of sales, etc.
Develops and maintains appropriate models to support analysis and recommendations (project go/no-go decisions).
Assist with profitability analysis and reporting
Diverse Skills and Experience That You Will Bring to the Role:
Four-year Accounting degree
5 years of experience preferably in a standard costing environment
Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
Experience with appropriate software (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Must be comfortable using computers in calculating and recording data
Effective use of organizational and time management skills. Self-directed, able to work with minimal supervision.
